Auto designer Theophilus Chin has already come up with different variants of Maserati’s newborn baby, the Ghibli. The only reason the Ghibli exist is Maser’s desire to increase production and sales. They didn’t want it, they just needed it. Even so, Chin’s designs show that this kid might actually be alright.
He has rendered the Ghibli in both estate, or fastback, and MC Stardale variants. The estate version showcases a more practical version with a nice rear-end design. It is hard to imagine Maserati’s logo on a grocery getter, but that is what the Ghibli, in essence, is. So they might as well make an estate version, get it over with. It will go down well in China.
The sporty MC Stradale is a much more appealing prospect. Chin has tuned Ghibli’s body with a couple of sporty elements such as a front spoiler, sport vented bonnet, side skirts, side vents, and so on. A hot two-tone yellow and black paint job finishes off the treatment. This is more like it.
