Chevrolet announced the official pricing of the new facelifted version of the Camaro in the British market. The 2014 Camaro hits the UK in only the V8-powered SS guise, but you can choose between the coupe and the convertible. Prices start from £35,320 and £40,320 respectively.
The V8 engine in the 2014 Chevy Camaro SS develops 432 hp (318 kW). It is paired with a short-shift 6-speed manual gearbox. You can have an automatic ‘box if you want, but it will limit the output of the engine to 405 hp.
Both coupe and convertible 2014 Camaros feature a new look which, compared to the old model, comes with a new front fascia, new headlights, narrower grille, vented hood, sculptural deck lid, horizontal lamps and diffuser complete. It still has the low roof, which some people love because of the style and some other hate because it makes the cabin a tad claustrophobic. You can get around this issue by getting the convertible which comes with soft top.
The standard kit on the UK-spec 2014 Camaro include the MyLink system with a seven-inch touch-screen, rear-view camera and a voice recognition system that, together with the new colour heads-up display, and remote keyless entry. Optional is the remote engine start functionality on the automatic variants, and a Europe-wide navigation system.
