Ram Power Wagon – Superman’s Truck?

Chrysler’s commercial vehicles brand Ram announced a partnership with Warner Bros. studio to support the opening of the new Superman film ‘Man of Steel’ on June 14. The deal includes a TV spot and a one-off Ram 1500, naturally inspired by the man of steel. The truck is a show car which will eventually be auctioned for charity.

Features of this unique truck include a Dark Ceramic Gray exterior color with a high-gloss black roof and red grille accents. It sits on satin black 17-inch off-road wheels and comes with Superman logos on the front and rear. A custom, one-off vehicle wrap inspired by the crest and texture of Superman’s suit complete the looks.

Inside the cabin you find custom mesh seat inserts like that of Superman suit with integrated Superman logos on the seats and console; Pewter leather seats; and Anodized Red paint trim accents on the doors, steering column, radio cluster and seats.

The TV commercial they have come up with is a good one. It focuses on the power and versatility of Ram Trucks by likening it to the super powers of the super heroes. It’s nonsense, obviously, but pretty cool nonetheless. The campaign also includes print ad illustrated by DC Entertainment comic artists.

“Ram celebrates those who dare to be great and never back down from a challenge,” said Reid Bigland, President and CEO – Ram Truck Brand. “This is the essence of Superman and also embodies our Ram truck buyers, who believe in hard work, integrity and standing up for what is right.”
