OK, maybe calling this little fella a commercial vehicle is a bit of a stretch. But Renault has no problem calling it a car-derived van. The Twizy Cargo EV comes with a small lockable box where the rear seat used to be. And we have to say it is the most pointless thing we have ever seen.
That 180-litre, 75kg boot is useless. Just about the only thing you can deliver in that is a few boxes of pizza. But who in their right mind would spend £7,795 on a pizza delivery vehicle? A 100 quid scooter does the job much better. And it doesn’t run out of juice after 50 miles. And it doesn’t need to be plugged-in for three and a half hours before it can get going again.
The Twizy Cargo is a stupid idea. It is in fact ridiculous. Sorry Renault. You should have put the time and energy you wasted on this thing trying to come up with a nicer design for the Clio, which seems like it has some sort of horrible birth defect.
