Honda announced details, specs, and pricing of the new and revised 2014 Accord lineup as they go on sale in America. There aren’t that many changes over the award-winning 2013 spec Accord Sedan and Coupe and the Accord Hybrid, but there is a very slight bump in the starting price.

The 2014 Honda Accord Sedan, which is the first of the three to go on sale, starts at $21,955. The handsome Accord Coupe that follows it starts at $23,625. And finally the Accord Hybrid, which will launch in October, kicks off at $39,780.

The Accord sedan itself come in eight different flavors, including six gasoline-engine versions (LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L V6 and Touring), the Accord Plug-In Hybrid Sedan, and the new Accord Hybrid Sedan. The Coupe can be had in four different trims: LX-S, EX, EX-L and EX-L V6.

That brings us to the powertrains available for the 2014 Honda Accord family. The Earth Dreams technology provides you with a 2.4-liter, direct-injected 4-cylinder engine with continuously variable transmission or 6-speed manual transmission, and a powerful V6 which comes with 6-speed automatic in the sedan or a 6-speed manual in the coupe. The Accord Hybrid gets a n all-new two-motor hybrid system.

The chassis of the new models are also revised, but it’s revised to gain more comfort rather than sportiness. It gets electric power steering (EPS), Active Noise Control (ANC) and Active Sound Control (ASC), which is fin on the sedan, but the coupe could do with a bit more sport.

As for the features, the 2014 Honda Accord models benefit from a more premium cloth seat fabric on the Accord LX Sedan and a softer headrest material on models equipped with leather seating surfaces. A new smarter auto-dimming rear-view mirror no longer requires an on/off switch. Standard features include dual-zone automatic climate control, rearview camera, 8-inch (diagonal) “intelligent” Multi-Information Display (i-MID), Bluetooth HandsFreeLink phone interface, Pandora internet radio interface and an SMS text messaging feature.
