We’re not sure what the relation between Halloween and Hybrid cars is, but Honda chose this mother of all non-holidays to launch the new 2014 Honda Accord Hybrid in the American market. The 50 mpg family sedan with spirited fun-to-drive – according to Honda – starts from $29,155.
The core of the Accord Hybrid is Honda’s Intelligent Multi-Mode Drive (i-MMD) two-motor hybrid system. It automatically switches between gasoline and electric power smoothly and seamlessly without the need for a conventional transmission.
The 30 grand Accord Hybrid is pretty well-equipped, but if you spend a bit more, you can choose between EX-L and Touring models and enjoy a lot more kit. Standard equipment include LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL), Smart Entry, Honda Lane Watch and Rearview camera, plus a 10-way power driver’s seat, heated side mirrors and 17-inch alloy wheels.
The Accord Hybrid EX-L adds numerous premium features including leather seating, heated front seats with memory driver’s seat, 360-watt premium audio, 4-way power front passenger’s seat, and power moonroof. The line-topping Accord Hybrid Touring adds a HDD navigation system, LED headlights, adaptive cruise control and Homelink.
