Crossovers, as you know, are jacked-up versions of ordinary family hatchbacks. You also know that hot hatchbacks are very popular and just better than standard models. So why not combine all this and have a hot crossover?

It would be a jack of all trade, a hot crossover. You get the practicality and convenience of a hatchback; the tall driving position of a SUV; and at the performance and driving fun of a sports car. That is, of course, if the engineers can make it work. Tall things are usually not very sporty.

Porsche is of course is working on such a thing with the Macan. But cars like that are pricey. What we want is a jacked-up Clio RS. Something like this, the Renault Captur RS.

This car of course does not exist. Well, it does, but only in the mind of the designer of this rendering, Antonie. His vision of a hotted-up Captur looks pretty cool, what with sporty bumpers with large air intakes and chrome detailing, chunkier side skirts, bigger wheels, and, presumably, rear diffuser and spoiler. Renault has not been very keen on this idea, but who knows, maybe someday.
