As promised, Honda revealed the sporty new Civic Coupe Si at the SEMA show. This event serves as a preview for the car’s premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show later this month, and it sends a message to the competition about how confident of this car Honda is.

2014 Honda Civic Coupe Si looks pretty nice, especially compared to its main rivals in the American market, the new Kia Forte Koup and the Scion tC. It has a more mature design than both those cars, which may sound odd for a Coupe whose main customer base are young dudes, but it makes the car appealing to a broader audience.

The 2014 model features restyled bumpers and new light graphics, complementing the car’s signature curved roof. The new model also comes with an optional sport exhaust system and more vibrant colors. Little details like this will make all the difference when a customer is deciding between this and a rival car.

Full details of the 2014 Honda Civic Coupe will be released closer to the Los Angeles show, but Honda has already announced will start at around $18,000.
