Renault UK announced the official pricing and specification of the new facelifted Megane range ahead of its January 2014 showroom launch. If we cut to the chase and give it to you straight, the Hatch is priced from £16,745, Coupe from £17,645 and Sport Tourer £17,745. Prices go up from there depending on the trim level.

The 2014 Renault Megane facelift features a new version of Renault’s corporate look with the massive logo at the front and the unique headlights, plus the distinctive bumpers and grilles. Trim levels include Expression+ (unavailable on Coupé), Knight Edition, Dynamique TomTom and GT-Line TomTom. And that’s before you get to the Renaultsport models. The variety here is mind-blowing. You can just walk into the showroom and get a Megane.

The models with Energy dCi 110 and dCi 130 engines get a £1,200 price drop in the 2014 model, while the 1.5 dCi 110 Auto EDC price is slashed by £850, and the 1.2 TCe 115 engine by £275. As for the equipment and features, automatic dual zone climate control is now standard on Dynamique TomTom, LED daytime running lights appear on Expression+ and lastly, R-Link is now optional on GT-Line TomTom.

As always, the Megane RS remains the most interesting member of the family, boasting features such as 18″ ‘TIBOR’ alloy wheels in matt black, fitted with 235/40 R18 95Y Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tyres, grooved brake discs, limited slip differential, red brake calipers, plus stiffer springs, dampers and anti-roll bar.
