Production Lexus LF-NX Previewed in Presentation Clip

By accident or design, Lexus gave us a sneak preview of an upcoming crossover vehicle that is the production version of the LF-NX concept car. The car was discovered in a boring presentation clip Lexus released for the 2014 Detroit Motor Show in which Toyota CEO Jim Lentz outlines the strategies of his company and their future plans.

The Production Lexus LF-NX has a much nicer design than the concept car, which to all intents and purposes was modeled in a Japanese comic book monster. This one looks a lot more sober, although it is still not what you can call subtle and understated.

The NX features a bolder version of Lexus’ spindle grille, and Led headlights similar to those of the IS sedan – the biggest flaw of that car’s design. Sometimes car makers trade popularity for uniqueness, and sometimes it pays off.

The Production Lexus LF-NX will be first ever turbocharged Lexus, powered by the new 2.0 liter four-cylinder unit featured in the TMS concept.
