Mazda is presenting the 2014MY version of the popular CX-5 crossover in the British market with a number of updates and upgrades. Mazda CX-5 is in possession of a successful recipe which saw a 227 percent increase in sales last year. So the new version does not get drastic changes, only some minor tweaks.
Cosmetically, the new CX-5 comes with two new exterior colors of Blue Reflex Mica and Deep Crystal Blue Mica. It is underneath that skin where there’s more substance than before. The car features a revised rear suspension, for instance, which results in Blue Reflex Mica and Deep Crystal Blue Mica.
What’s more, the 2014 Mazda CX-5 features a new clutch restart system that allows engine restart by depressing the clutch (within three seconds of stalling), without the need to use the engine start/stop button.
As for the new convenience equipment, you get a memory function for the powered driver’s seat and a 6-way powered passenger seat as standard. And while full leather trim is standard, there is a Light Stone leather treatment available as a 200 quid optional extra.
2014 Mazda CX-5 can be had with either a 165ps petrol or 150/175ps diesel engines, six-speed manual or automatic transmissions, three specification levels (SE-L, SE-L Lux and Sport, with or without Nav) and 2-wheel drive (2WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD). Prices start from £21,595 to £29,595.
