Delhi Auto Expo is hosting the launch of many interesting new concept cars today, and all of them have one thing in common: they are small cars. We looked at the quirky Renault Kwid, now let’s check out another concept car in the same class by Honda.

The Honda Vision XS-1 Concept is what future urban cars by the Japanese manufacturer may look like. It follows Honda’s M/M (man maximum, machine minimum) philosophy, which means that while it is small and has a compact body, the interior offer a generous amount of space.

The exterior of the Honda Vision XS-1 features a sporty and cool design with two large sliding doors on each side which, once opened, make it look like a high-riding van. Honda says they have used the “Exciting H Design” in this car, which is Honda’s human-centered design philosophy.

There is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment, which is why Honda didn’t bother providing us with technical details about the sort of powertrain they are considering for it. It could, however, spawn a global model in the near future for emerging market like India, where Honda already has a couple of economy models.
