At this year’s Geneva Motor Show Renault wants to pay tribute to the most glamorous Grand Prix race of them all, the Monaco GP. And as is usually the case with such matters, they will do this with a special edition of the hottest car they have in production, which right now is the Clio RS.

The Renault Clio RS Monaco GP Edition features a bespoke visual treatment and an upgraded interior, but sadly no performance upgrades. As the first leaked photo of the car shows, the Clio Monaco Edition gets a unique White Frost Pearl exterior color, complemented with gloss black accents on the grilles, roof and mirrors, as well as the bumpers. The gloss black 18-inch wheels are also exclusive to this model.

Being a standard Renault Clio RS underneath means the Monaco GP edition boasts 200 horsepower and about 180 pound-feet of torque. This engine gives the car a lot of punch, but it is connected to a six-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which, according to every motoring journalist who has tried it, is utter rubbish.

Performance-wise, the Renault Clio RS Monaco GP Edition can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds and reach a top speed of 250 km/h.
