Recently, and during the first press drive event for the new 2015 Tahoe and Suburban SUVs, Chevrolet officials hinted at the possibility of launching tricked-out, high-performance versions of the Tahoe in the near future. The new Chevrolet Tahoe RS and SS models, if confirmed, could get more powerful V8 engines and super cool exterior mods.
You don’t have use your imagination to find out what the end result might look like, as Chevy has already give us a preview with the Tahoe Black concept of last year’s SEMA show, pictured above. The car features a blacked-out exterior with a shiny paint job, and is slammed on a set of 22-inch wheels, also finished in black.
Other features include blacked-out headlights and grilles, a body kit with revised bumpers and flared arches, and a full-loaded interior featuring black leather upholstery and a whole host of connectivity and entertainment systems.
The upcoming Chevrolet Tahoe RS and SS would follow Chevy’s existing trim level routine, meaning the RS would only get the visual treatment while the SS will also benefit from a substantial power upgrade – probably in form of a 6.2 liter V8 with well over 400 horsepower.
