Ram Trucks announced the launch of the popular Black Package, currently available only for the 1500 models, for the Ram Heavy Duty 2500 and 3500. This strictly visual treatment gives the huge truck an absolutely menacing look. Ram themselves say the Black is the “baddest-looking” factory-built truck on the market.

The 2014 Ram Heavy Duty Black package recipe includes a lot of black paint. The body is finished entirely in black, along with the 20-inch wheels, the entire grille including its surrounds, bumpers and the tailgate.

For good measure, all the lights on the outside have been smoked, and all the badging has been removed for perfect stealth. If you order your Ram HD with the Cummins engine though you get a distinctive badge indicating the truck is diesel-powered. So just avoid it.

Ram Heavy Duty Black package also benefits from an exclusive lighting system, including bi-functional halogen projector headlamps with black bezels, 15 amber LEDs for park/turn/position lamp and three amber LEDs for the side marker, plus blacked-out taillights with 15 red LEDs and three red LEDs for the side marker.

Prices for the 2014 Ram Heavy Duty Black Package start at $42,140 (excluding $1,195 destination charge).
