Chevrolet announced they are bringing a new variant of the Corvette Stingray to this year’s New York Auto Show, expanding further the C7 family. There are no details as to what this new Stingray will be like, but rumor has it it’s a tougher, tauter Z06.
The 2015 Corvette Z06 is a tough act to follow, what with all the power and technology they’ve crammed into it. Nevertheless, it seems Chevy engineers are confident they can do better still.
The Corvette Stingray variant set for NY debut could be a stripped-out track-focused version, or a normal Z06 fitted with a performance pack or something like that. Other reports suggest it could be a limited edition version of the normal Stingray fitted with lots of extras. We shall find out soon enough, as in less than two weeks the New York Auto Show will open its doors.
Other new Chevy-badges cars headed for New York include the 2015 Cruze, spotted a few days ago in China with a new face, and a small city car on the line with the Spark.
