Turns out the demise of SRT brand was the kick in the pants Dodge needed to start making more interesting cars. They responded by launching a new Challenger Hellcat, which is the most hard-core, and the first supercharged, production car they’ve ever built.
We covered the official details and pictures of the car when they were released, but now we have a few live photos of the Dodge Challenger Hellcat from its debut at the Midwest Automotive Media Association Rally, and we suggest you check them out as they do a good job of showcasing the awesome visual features of the car.
Those awesome looks are backed by a supercharged HEMI V8 which makes 600-plus horsepower, massive Brembo brakes, enhanced aerodynamics, uprated suspension, and tighter steering system, not to mention high-performance wheels and tires.
Dodge Challenger Hellcat is also the first car, at least in its class, to come with a Valet Key. This key changes some parameters and limits the car’s performance, so the valet won’t be able to abuse it.
