Subaru has, by the looks of things, invested rather heavily in the advertising campaign for the 2015 WRX STI. After a very interesting promotional film called Ride of Her Life, they have now released a new, more technical, driving footage of the car with Tommi Makinen.

In this film Tommi hits the track in the 2015 Subaru WRX STI, which is a bit odd really, seeing as Makinen is a four-time World Rally Champion. He does a good job of showcasing the capabilities of the WRX, though, and his driving style as a rally driver shines through in the way he takes on corners and even makes the car jump.

2015 Subaru WRX STI is a thorough and complete improvement over the previous generations of the car. Not only it looks miles better than all of them, it features an unbeatable drivetrain setup with a 305 horsepower 2.5-liter turbocharged/intercooled 4-cylinder BOXER engine, Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Center Differential (DCCD) version of Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, and a whole host of new electronics with inputs from steering angle, throttle position, RPM, lateral-g, yaw, brake, ABS and wheel speed.
