Lebanon-based car maker W Motors is the one of the most ambitious companies in this business. After successfully launching their $3.4 million hyper car, they are now going racing, apparently, with a competition version of the Lykan called LM GTE.
Shown here in these official renderings, the Lykan LM GTE race car, or the HyperBeast as they call it, gets a full Le Mans treatment with a complete aero kit consisting of front splitter, aero blades on the sides, a large rear diffuser with pronounced fins, and an adjustable rear wing. Racing wheels and tires, brakes and suspension are also included in the package.
One would imagine the uber-luxurious cabin of the Lykan has been stripped-out for the race car project ad its diamond-encrusted headlights replaced with normal units.
W Motors has not revealed the technical specs of the Lykan LM GTE yet, but we know the standard version is powered by a flat-six Porsche engine tuned by RUF, developing 750 horsepower and over 1,000 Nm of torque. The racing car is set to enter FIA GT series as well as WEC and the Le Mans.
