It was almost a given that Chris Harris would end up on TV somewhere starring in a car show. There are only a handful of people in the world of car journalism that attract more audience than this short, brown British chap. In the premiere episode of “DRIVE on NBC Sports”, Harris, Farah, and Spinelli head to Monaco to check out the Gran Prix venue.

The cars starring in this rather epic DRIVE channel Monaco Special episode include Ferrari F12 Berlinetta, Mercedes SLS Black Series, and McLaren 650S, each celebrating their respective F1 team.

So what do you reckon about the new show? It seems to have just the right amount of Top Gear flavor to make it more interesting, but it doesn’t try to be like TG, which is cool. It seems Chris is carrying the weight of the whole thing alone, which makes us think we should be seeing more sideways action. That is a large part of why people watch Harris’ videos, isn’t it?
