Based on the latest spy shots of a hotted-up Mustang bouncing around the Nurburgring making growly noises, designers at Gunrade have come up with this rendering of the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350. It is not official, but all the evidence suggests the real thing should look very close to what you see here.

Based on this image, the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350 features sporty bumpers with larger air intakes compared to the GT model, a front splitter, a sexy Shelby grille, flared wheel arches, side skirts, and by imagine a big rear diffuser and a fairly prominent rear spoiler.

Those bits should take care of the body work. The more interesting part is what sort of engine Ford is going to put in the 2016 Ford Mustang GT350. Well, obviously, it is going to be a beefed-up version of the existing 5.0 V8 from the GT, but power figure remains a mystery. Given the fact that the standard 5.0 makes 435 horsepower, chances are the GT350 will boast 500+.

This body and a powerful V8 engine sounds like quite a recipe. The thing is, this is the wrong Shelby. What you want is the Shelby GT500 with, hopefully, over 700 horsepower. And that is going to take a few more years to arrive.
