Kahn Design’s partnership with Ant Anstead which resulted in a leap from the tuning world into the realm of coach building created quite a buzz in the auto world. To stop the social media from speculating about what’s next, Kahn has now released an official statement about the first Ant-Kahn product.
The first outcome of the newly formed company will be Ant-Kahn Evanta Barchetta, a retro two-seater sports car with a lightweight body and a powerful engine. Think Weismann but with a strong British flavor.
Ant-Kahn Evanta Barchetta may look like something from the 50s, but it boasts a modern carbon and Kevlar body and a 6.2 liter V8 with 450 horsepower. Kahn hasn’t mentioned the source of this engine, but given the rather dismal output relative to its size, we reckon it’s American.
Apart from Evanta Barchetta, Ant-Kahn is also working on a super SUV based on the Defender and a re-bodied Aston Martin Vanquish.
