A few days ago Ford unveiled the 2015 Focus ST hot hatch, powered for the first time with a diesel engine. That makes the car more family-oriented, and that makes the prospect of a Ford Focus ST Sedan and even an estate version more plausible.
Rendered here based on the existing model, we see the styling cues of the ST hatchback transferred to the sedan and the estate variants and combined with their respective body forms.
In the case of the sedan the flared arches, the sporty rear diffuser with central tailpipe, and the boot spoiler result in a playful styling that promises a lot of fun besides practicality and convenience of a mid-size family saloon. The estate gets the same sort of features, plus a big boot, and in this case a cool paint job.
The new diesel engine offered for the Ford Focus ST produces 185 PS and 400 Nm of torque, which translates into a 0 to 60 time of 8.1 seconds, and average fuel consumption of 64.2 mpg. You can also order the ST with a 250 horsepower 2.0 liter EcoBoost petrol engine.
