Every once in a while the people involved with the whole Star Wars thing commission a Star Wars-themed car to wow their fans at Comic-Con. This year the car is prepared by Hot Wheels and it’s a Darth Vader mobile based on a Corvette C5.
The last Darth Vader car we remember was a based on a VW Passat made by West Coast Customs. This bespoke design makes a more convincing Darth Vader car to be honest, what with that unique carbon fiber body modeled entirely on Vader’s helmet.
As is often the case with this sort of operations, designers have taken car to include lots of Vadery features into the Hot Wheels Darth Vader Car, so it is fitted with a red light saber like the one used in the films. Naturally, the car will spawn a limited edition Hot Wheels series as well.
Performance-wise, Hot Wheels Darth Vader Car, developed by Mattel and built by Picture Car Warehouse, has a 525 horsepower LS3 engine. Not sure if it actually works, but it’s a decent motor for an evil car!
