McLaren took the wraps off yet another new debut for the 2014 Pebble Beach auto week. Next to the MSO 650S, MSO P1, and the P1 GTR there will this, the McLaren 650S Sprint which is a track car version of the 650 coupe.

Being an expensive high-end track toy for gentleman drivers, McLaren 650S Sprint comes with lots of advanced technologies such as the new Brake Steer system and ProActive Chassis Control (PCC) as well as refined aerodynamics. The engine and running gear remain unchanged.

The Sprint version of the 650S offers most of the GT racing experience of the 650 GT3 with pretty much the same refinement as the road-going car. That refinement does not mean they have skimped on motorsporty features. The stripped-out interior for instance includes only an FIA-approved rollcage, HANS-approved racing seat, and six-point harness. You do, however, get an air-conditioning system.

Other exclusive features of this 198,000 GBP big boys toy include a racing fuel ‘bag’ tank with quick-fill connectors, on-board air jack system, racing brakes, and carbon fiber rear wing and front splitter. McLaren 650S Sprint also features an exclusive livery inspired by the GT3 car shown at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
