The 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, or Auto Week as some call it these days, will see the debut of two new MSO (McLaren Special Operations) versions of the 650S and the P1, featuring a host of bespoke options and exclusive paint schemes. Here we take a close look at the McLaren P1 MSO.
Serving as a showcase of the capabilities of McLaren’s special operations division, the Pebble Beach-bound McLaren P1 MSO features subtle McLaren Orange accents on the exterior, complementing the standard gloss carbon components, topped off with a special Stirling Grey body.
As a tribute to the McLaren F1, and also because it has great technical advantage, 24 carat gold heatshields are used around the engine bay and inconel exhaust in the McLaren P1 MSO. This model also features a bespoke aluminium grille is fitted above the carbon fibre bumper, and is framed by the iconic LED tail light design.
As for the interior, P1 MSO comes with Stone Grey binding and stitching on all upholstery, and McLaren Orange accents on the center console, plus Satin Nickel-finished airvents and a bespoke MSO steering wheel.
This McLaren P1 MSO is a one-off model commissioned by a North American customer. It is not for sale.
