It is Matt Farah’s turn to get behind the wheel of the new Lexus RC F and see for himself what is the deal with the new Japanese coupe which has come putting up a fight for the magnificent BMW M4. The Lexus is well-equipped to take on the Bavarian prince, but it lacks battlefield experience.
Before Matt hits the Monticello Motor Club in the Lexus RC F and checks out its performance, he takes a few minutes to drink in those weird looks:
Inspired in part by the LFA super car, Lexus RC F is powered by a 450 horsepower V8 engine (naturally aspirated) mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The car makes use of a Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) and sophisticated electronic systems to put every one of those horse to good use. Experts say it still isn’t a match for the BMW M4, as the whole thing doesn’t have the finesse of the German car. In fairness though, BMW has been making sports saloons for ages. Lexus is relatively new to this game.
