Scale models are turning into a menace for Porsche’s embargo on new models, namely the upcoming 991 GT3 RS. Our first look at the new car was through some leaked scale model. Then we saw its patent pictures, and now another scale model offers a great early look at the RS-badges super car.

So it is fair to say that Porsche’s publicists have not done a very good job keeping the RS a secret and create the proper hyper for it. Not that it matters really, because as far as ordinary people are concerned, Porsche 991 GT3 RS looks like a normal GT3 with a few extra holes in its body.

An enthusiast, however, will notice the GT3 RS features wider fenders and awesome-looking vents in the front wings, presumably to cool the front brakes. It also comes with a bigger front splitter, side skirts, and a huge rear wing in true RS fashion. The Porsche 991 GT3 RS will be the closest 911 ever to the RSR racing car, both in terms of styling and performance.

Speaking of performance, the GT3 RS will get an even hotter version of the flat-six engine, reportedly drilled-up to 4.0 liter like the old 997 4.0 liter RS, with up to 500 horsepower. Lighter weight, sharper steering, and stiffer suspension will give the RS an entirely different character compared to the normal GT3.
