The new Lexus RC has got a lot of stick since it was first announced because of its unusual design. While conservative people see the RC’s ridunculous looks as stupidity on Lexus’ part, visionaries see it as an opportunity to test even crazier ideas. This Lexus RC Shooting Brake is the result of one such endeavor.

Independent designer X-Tomi realized the RC already is massively controversial, so it would be OK if he turned into something even more outlandish, like a Shooting Brake. Lexus is working on a convertible RC, but a Shooting Brake is not on the agenda, and will probably never be.

But may be it should be, because as you can see in this rendering, Lexus RC Shooting Brake would look absolutely amazing. And it also makes sense in terms of practicality and usability. Granted, the rage-inducing front-end remains intact in this treatment, but that backside is sexy enough for you forget she has a face tattoo!

The Lexus RC Shooting Brake here is rendered in RC F guise, what with the four tailpipes and sports bumpers. Some may argue it looks too much like a hatchback, but if they decided to make it they can always increase the angle of attack on the tailgate, no problem at all.
