The fate of Mitsubishi Lancer is yet to be decided by the Japanese manufacturer. The threat of being dropped altogether still looms on the horizon, but the more likely scenario is that the Lancer will be reborn as a less niche, more global model.
Notwithstanding what will become of the Mitsubishi Lancer, designer Theophilus Chin has penned this amazing looking car which he says would be an ideal replacement for the old rally-bred sedan.
Theo has used styling cues from the most recent Mitsubishi concepts to come up with an all-new and fairly exciting look for his imaginary Lancer. It features a super aggressive face with a neat and tidy Mitsu grille and signature headlights that continue with LEDs right to the bottom of the bumper. The side view is pretty ordinary, but at the back you find a similarly unique design with large taillights, a diffuser and dual tailpipes. It’s a very decent looking sports sedan.
Wether or not Mitsubishi will replace the current Lancer with a new model remains to be seen. But there is no getting away from the fact that the current model is a slow seller and its recipe needs some serious tweaking.
