Dutch boutique car maker Donkervoort has released the official pictures of their new product, the Donkervoort D8 GTO Bilster Berg edition, following a teaser last week. The new sports car is a celebratory model to mark the GTO’s lap record at the Bilster Berg track.

The D8 GTO needs no introduction to those familiar with Donkervoort. This Dutch Caterham features a 2.5 liter TFSI Audi five-cylinder engine with custom drivetrain pieces such as a lightweight flywheel and performance clutch. So no, it won’t drive like an Audi. Donkervoort has not revealed if the Bilster Berg edition features any performance upgrades.

Visually though, the Donkervoort D8 GTO Bilster Berg looks a lot meaner than the standard car, what with the gloss black grille, carbon detailing, vented hood, those simply awesome side exhausts, semi-slick tires and the rear diffuser. The car’s mean styling is backed up by lots of power and a race-tuned suspension which makes an absolute weapon on the race track; a fit feature for a car named after a race track.

So in short, most of the special features of the Donkervoort D8 GTO Bilster Berg begin and end in some Bilster Berg badges and logos inside and out. Still, it is a very desirable bit of kit.
