The market performance of the Captur crossover was convincing enough for Renault’s top brass to green light the production of a slightly bigger version. They call it the Renault Kadjar, and it is all set for debut at the Geneva Motor Show 2015.

Styling-wise, the new Renault Kadjar is fairly similar to the Captur, only a bit chubbier. The crossover is built on the same Renault-Nissan CMF platform and will be available with either four- or two-wheel-drive transmission. So although the main focus here is on efficiency and cost-effectiveness, you can specify the Kadjar to have satisfying capabilities.

In spite of being more spacious than the Capture, Renault Kadjar is still a fairly compact car for its class, measuring 4.45 metres long and 1.84 metres wide. It is, after all, a city SUV and it has to be maneuverable and easy to live with in the urban jungle. The car benefits from features such as 190mm ground clearance, up to 19-inch rims, and LED headlights, as well as a high quality interior.

One of the highlights of the Renault Kadjar inside the cabin is the R-Link 2 multimedia system which offers a wide range of connectivity and entertainment features. The crossover also benefits from a generous amount of safety gear and driving aids.

Official debut for the Kadjar is planned at the Geneva Motor Show in March. It will be the first Renault to be produced locally in China.
