Based on the official images of the new 2016 Jaguar XF released a few days ago, DesignRM team has come up with this rendering of the Sportbrake version. Needless to say the car showed in this CGI picture looks magnificent. Here’s hoping the real thing turns out this good.
We don’t get to see the front-end of the car here, mainly because there is no point. As we know from the previous Jaguar XF Sportbrake, the wagon version of the luxury mid-sizer differs from the sedan only in the shape of its curvy back-end and the taillights. What set is apart from the rivals though, is the elegance of that boot thanks to a shape that is not only easy on the eyes, it gives Sportbrake a bigger boot than almost all the other cars in this segment.
This depiction of the upcoming Jaguar XF Sportbrake is brilliant, but what we want to see is this car in XF-R (or XF SVR) guise. That ought to be something truly mouthwatering. Imagine this car but with a massive aero kit consisting of a cool roof spoiler, a neat rear diffuser, four sizable tailpipes, and slightly flared arches, not to mention a supercharged V8 engine under the bonnet. Such as a recipe for an estate car is the very definition of excess, but boy does it sound good!
