Joe Macari is one of the most prestigious classic and super car dealerships in Britain, and indeed, the world. Their new showroom in South London, opened last year with a lavish ceremony, was recently turned into a workshop for the talented photographer Chris Withington who uses his camera to turn beautiful cars into pure art work.
The vintage sports car featured at Joe Macari collection are pieces of automotive art on their own. But seen through Withington’s eyes, they become art in its truest form, which is of course inexplicable beauty and charm. You can tell the artist knows his cars very well, because along with the right angel and lighting, he has picked parts of the cars as his subjects that are a vital ingredient of the overall design, thereby magnifying their significance.
Some of the most important cars featured in this truly magnificent gallery include a first-gen Corvette C1 convertible in the traditional red and white paint scheme, a cream-colored Mercedes 190 SL, blue Pagani Zonda S, Ferrari F40, and Ferrari 330. You will also find more ordinary cars in Joe Macari collection such as Ferrari 599 and Scuderia, and the latest Lamborghinis and Porsches. But really it’s the old stuff that is the most fascinating.
