The all-new 2016 Chevy Camaro is all set for official debut later today. But before that we get our first look at the new muscle car thanks to CNBC and their embargo-breaking programs. So this is the 2016 Camaro, featuring new bumpers, grilles, and lights.
We have to say, after all the buzz GM created for the 2016 Camaro in all those elaborate teasers they released we were expecting more substantial changes over the previous generation. But Camaro 6 has gone down the midl facelift route and is content with just a set of slimmer headlights, a narrower grille, and more sculpted body panels. Maybe the designers were afraid that drastic changes might scare off some of fans. So they played it safe.
Looks aside, the 2016 Camaro is a much better car than its predecessor in the sense that it is lighter, more powerful and more efficient. In other words, the new Camaro is more sports car than muscle car. Rumor has it the car launches with a new four-cylinder variant to rival the Mustang EcoBoost, while the V8 engine in the SS comes with all sorts of fuel saving technologies.
