Today was the day of weird and amazing paint jobs. First we saw that psychedelic Lamborghini Gallardo with the heat sensitive color, and now this Lexus RC F which has a glow-in-the-dark paint that pulsates in line with the driver’s heartbeat!

And if you think that this is nothing by special effect, you are wrong. There is a heart monitoring system onboard this Lexus RC F which measures the heartbeat of the driver and then accordingly sends an electric charge to the panels painted with the special color.

This should definitely be classified in the ‘useless but awesome’ category, for there is no practical use for showing the driver’s heartbeat on the exterior. Actually, come to think of it, it is a good way of showcasing how exciting the RC F is to drive. Then again, it seems like an unnecessarily elaborate and complicated thing to do for delivering that message. Lexus should have just spent the money on making the RC F a better car to drive. That would have been simpler and more effective.
