Another Zenvo ST1 Catches Fire on the Race Track

We are fairly certain you all remember that episode of Top Gear in which Jeremy Clarkson drove a Zenvo ST1 so hard it caught fire. The Danish super car maker was adamant that it wasn’t the car’s fault, but the conditions in which Top Gear tests high-performance cars. Now another ST1 does the exact same thing and goes up in flames after a few laps, making the people at Zenvo look very, very bad.

It wouldn’t have been such a big deal if Zenvo ST1 was a mid-range sports car or something. But they pitch the damn thing as a Bugatti-rivaling hyper car and sell it for nearly two million dollars. Least they can do for that kind of money is make sure the bolts are properly tightened and the fuel lines are properly installed. But apparently they can’t be bothered. The ST1 is going to depreciate in value faster than it accelerates. Not that anyone would buy one in the first place!
