Having tested the new Bentayga in the freezing conditions of Arjeplog testing facility in Sweden and the unforgiving surroundings of the Nurburgring, Bentley engineers have now hit the mountains of Northern Spain in a bid to make sure the Luxury SUV is capable of holding its own when the going gets rough.
Bentley Bentayga, by the looks of things, is going to be a fairly uncompromising vehicle. It is a luxurious, high-performance, and, evidently, highly capable SUV. It’s kind of like those adventures British Lords you read about in Victorian novels!
Detailed specification for Bentley Bentayga is yet to be released, but we already know it will be offered with a choice of two powertrains, including a 500 horsepower twin-turbo V8 unit and a W12 engine with more than 600 horsepower. So yes, it is fair to call this thing a jacked-up Continental, and that’s not a bad thing to say at all. The big Conti is a marvelous piece of engineering and a SUV version of it ought to be pretty good as well.
