IAA Preview: Honda Civic Tourer Active Life Concept

Honda Civic Tourer Active Life 0 600x351 at IAA Preview: Honda Civic Tourer Active Life Concept

Promoting the new Civic Tourer and giving the wagon-loving Europeans something to drool over, Honda will unveil a new “Active Life” concept at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The IAA-bound Honda Civic Tourer Active Life Concept puts a lot of emphasis on style and functionality.

Honda Civic Tourer Active Life boasts the largest cargo space in the C-segment category, thanks to a unique centre fuel tank layout, standing at 1668 liters. The concept makes best use of this huge space to showcase various ways it can be utilized to make the vehicle more versatile.

Being an active, lifestyly sort of vehicle, the Civic Active Life features a smart loading rack capable of transporting two bicycles, along with a retractable arm which can be extended from the rack. It also has onboard maintenance tools such as  built in integrated air pump, a large light located on the tailgate, an extended shade area and a retractable bench. A toolbox, bottle holder, water tank and a front wheel holder are also included.

But perhaps the more important factor in the Honda Civic Tourer Active Life is the styling. The handsome mid-size wagon comes with a custom blue paint finish with a lower gun metallic gradation and a silver roofline, along with sports bumpers and 18-inch wheels. The interior features blue stitching and piping on the seats, steering wheel and on the gear shift, along with a sporty black roof lining. The concept is powered by an ultra-frugal 1.6 i-DTEC Earth Dreams engine.
