The extraordinary Lykan Hypersport, as you probably know, is the Middle East’s first proper super car. It’s built regional firm W Motors using parts from various suppliers and tuners, and it costs $3.4 million USD. That’s where the genius of the guys behind W Motors rear its head.
You see, save the diamond-encrusted headlights and the sexy design, Lykan Hypersport is actually a pretty average supercar by today’s standards. It is nowhere near as exquisite as something like a Pagani Huayra, and it doesn’t hold a candle to the Bugatti Veyron technology-wise. And yet, W Motors top brass realized if they give it an insane price tag and market the car in the right places, they will find enough customers for it to make a good payday.
So after spending some time in Mote Carlo and then Pebble Beach, the Lykan now hits Miami where it was hosted by just the right venues, Royal Motor Cars and the Billionaires Club. It put on a good show too, with half-naked models straddling bits of the car for the visitors viewing pleasure. If that is not enough to fool people with more money than sense out of $3.4 million, I don’t what is.
Ah, the Miami lifestyle… nice houses, flashy cars, dubious businessmen and tan prostitutes, all fueled by coke! We’re just playing.
