The guys at Dimmitt Automotive Group are proudly showing off the first McLaren 675LT they have received at their showrooms. Fresh off transit from Blighty, the Long Tail was left outside to get acclimated to Florida weather before they peel off the protective covers and send it to the lucky owner.

All 500 units of McLaren 675LT are already sold out, which means dealers like Dimmitt – who apparently has ordered two units, with the second one coming next week – can now basically name their own price. They can ask a very healthy premium and people will pay it the moment they stand in front of this beast and see that awesome front splitter. By the time they get to the twin exhausts protruding out of the rear apron, they’ll be drooling like mad men.

Designed and built as an homage to the LongTail F1 race car of the yesteryear, McLaren 675LT is powered by a tweaked version of the M838TL 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, rated here at 675PS (666bhp) at 7,100rpm, with a torque figure of 700Nm (516 lb ft) at 5,500-6,500rpm. And all those new carbon components, they are not just for show, as they shave 100 kg off the weight of the car compared to a 650S.
