Having the success of the modern British sports car makers like BAC, and following their footsteps in making track-focused cars, Devon-based Marlin Sports Cars is introducing the Avatar Roadster. The new sports car will make its debut at the Performance Car Show, part of the Autosport International in Birmingham, which opens January 14.

manual gearbox, and dry weight of only 700kg. What’s more, they offer a super sport version with the 350bhp, 2.3 liter engine of the new Ford Focus RS. Add to this the rear-drive chassis and in-board adjustable suspension, and it doesn’t take a genius to tell the car is going to an absolute hoot to drive.

Boasting an unlimited mileage, three-year warranty, Avatar Roadster can also be specified with three-way dampers and stiffer springs, six pot brakes, race pads, semi slick/slick tyre options, as well as some hard-core track equipment such as a full roll cage, six-point harnesses, extinguisher, uprated cooling pack, DL1 data logger and camera, HANS custom seat and race-only aero package.

Performance-wise, the 3.6 meter long Avatar sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and has a top speed of 150 mph (2.0 liter model). Guess the only thing left to know about this sports car is how it looks. Stay tuned.
