A few days ago Chevrolet gave us the first glimpse of the new 2017 Camaro ZL1 hardtop with super aggressive look and enhanced technical specs. Inevitably, there will be a convertible version of that car in a year or so, and here’s what it may look like.
Actually, this could be exactly what Camaro ZL1 Convertible looks like since the only difference between the soft and the hard top models is in the roof arrangement. We have to say though, the design elements of the ZL1 appear a lot cooler when you take the roof away. Somehow the lack of a bulky metal roof makes the ZL1 look more chiseled and handsome.
Mechanically, Camaro ZL1 Convertible will be identical to the coupe, boasting a supercharged 6.2L V-8 engine with 640 horsepower either a six-speed manual transmission with active rev matching or an all-new 10-speed automatic. It will also get the Magnetic Ride suspension and electronic limited-slip differential as well as Driver Mode Selector, dual-mode exhaust and advanced connectivity features. But, being a convertible, the performance figures may vary a tiny bit.
