W Motors is these days busy preparing the first production units of the new Fenyr Supersport for delivery. But that hasn’t stopped them from giving their first creation, Lykan HyperSport, another shot at wowing the crowd and possibly scoring another sale. So they brought one to the Geneva Motor Show, finished in Furious Red.
To be honest with you when we first heard about the Middle Eastern super car maker W Motors we thought there was no way they would survive, at least not if they insist on making stuff like the $3.4 million, diamond-encrusted Hypersport. Well, we were half right. They are not making diamond cars anymore, but they are so flushed with cash that they can survive even if nobody buys their new product, the Fenyr.
The Fenyr focuses more on power and performance which is why it’s a more serious product than Lykan HyperSport. But new money people come and go in their hundreds these days, and some of them might be interested in having a car with diamond in their headlights. That’s where this car comes in, as it’s the only one in the whole world with such a feature. Of course, buyers will be able to customize their Lykan and get all sort of other exotic materials if they so choose.
As for the technicalities, Lykan HyperSport is powered by a RUF-tuned Porsche engine with 700 horsepower. The manufacturer says it covers 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, but nobody has tested this claim yet.
