It’s been a long time since VUHL Automotive announced the launch of VUHL 05 sports car, but they are finally ready to sell this car to the Europeans. They are now in London promoting the production-spec version of the car at London Motor Show in Battersea.
The road-legal track car VUHL 05 is priced at £59,995 in the United Kingdom which sounds like a lot, but then again the market for these cars is pretty hot at the moment with firms like Caterham and BAC running away with all the customers. What’s more, the VUHL does have the specs to back up its hefty price tag.
The lightweight two-seater sports car is powered by a 285 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque turbocharged four-cylinder engine which catapults the machine form 0 to 100 mph in 3.5 seconds and gives it a top speed of 245 km/h or 150 mph. The car also promises exhilarating handling on the par with others cars of this class.
VUHL is evidently very keen to make the British like this car, most likely because of what went down with the first Mexican sports car they introduced to these people. As you may remember the former Top Gear presenters made terrible fun of that car and damn near caused an international incident. There is nothing mockable about VUHL 05, though. In fact it could be a seriously cool car.
