One of the hottest cars that came out of Crewe last year was the track-focused Bentley Continental GT3-R, a special model built as the road-going version of Bentley’s GT3 race car. But the car lost all the attention as quickly as it had grabbed them, partly because Bentley moved on to the promotion of the new Bentayga, and partly because the GT3-R didn’t make much sense anyway.
What you got with the Bentley Continental GT3-R was a two-door hard-top Bentley that was quick for sure, but not remarkably quicker than the Speed version or even the regular GT for that matter, was less comfortable than all the other versions, and at $340K it was pricier as well. And then there were the looks which at best could be called controversial.
At any rate, not that some time has past since we last saw this big boy let’s have a fresh and highly detailed look at it in this SaabKyle video. Maybe the GT3-R surprises us:
