Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 Looks Good in Black

One of the most talked about cars of this year’s Pebble Beach Concours has been the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6, a strange concept car designed to showcase where the brand is headed in the near future. We’ve seen the car, we’ve seen in action, and we’ve seen it as a roadster. Now for something a bit more upscale.

Here’s a rendering of the Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 dressed in ‘Black Design’ guise by Miletic Design. The original concept was shown at Monterey in red which is frankly not a good color for a car six-meter long and powered by four beefy electric motors. The roadster rendering we saw of this thing came in green, which was better, but still not very dignified given how luxurious the subject is. With this black design theme, however, we reckon the Maybach 6 has found the perfect paint scheme.

That said, those of you with a good memory may already be making the connection between what you are seeing here and the Maybach Exelero, a similar concept Mercedes-Benz released years ago. The 6 does look a lot like the Exelero in black, which is appropriate, because like that car this one is not going anywhere either. They might make one or two prototypes for a couple of collectors, but the concept has very little production value.
