Chevrolet is about to enhance their SUV/crossover lineup at the next Detroit Auto Show by introducing a new version of the Traverse. The large and somewhat minivan-like 2018 Chevrolet Traverse will have the ability to carry up to 8 passengers and it promises to have a nice and sexy design.

It has always been difficult, especially for American car makers, to successfully blend value, practicality and sexiness in a vehicle, but hey, there is a first time for everything. 2018 Chevrolet Traverse press release sure is full of sweet talk, claiming the big SUV will have “a bold and refined design,” and that it will boast “the segment’s best third-row legroom and maximum cargo space.”

That’ll remain to be seen, but you can’t argue with the new features and equipment the car will be sporting, including exclusive D-Optic headlamps that provide a natural daylight effect with a seamless light quality. So yes, Chevy might be onto something with the new Traverse, especially as the effort they started while back reforming and enhancing their SUV lineup culminates in this model. 2018 Chevrolet Traverse will be present at NAIAS next to the 2017 Bolt EV and Trax, the 2018 Equinox, and Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs.
