While brands like Tesla and NextEV keep telling us that the future of motoring is not going to be horrible, Honda goes ahead and shows us their vision of a future car, and it looks like a lunchbox with wheels. This is Honda NeuV Concept featuring their Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem, which they will unveil in full at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.

Honda NeuV is an automated EV concept with an artificial intelligence (AI) brain called “emotion engine.” That’s what we all want, don’t we, for our cars to get emotional. We wouldn’t be surprised at all if the NeuV turns cranky at a certain time of the month and then deposits an oil spill in the garage.

In any case, we are going to have to wait for the 2017 CES to know in full what this Honda NeuV is all about. For now all the Japanese are giving us is this: “Honda will feature interactive and immersive experiences designed to showcase a future technology path toward a redefined mobility experience. From reducing traffic congestion to creating new modes of in-car connectivity, visitors will have an opportunity to explore and demo technologies with the potential to make people’s lives better.”
