Ram Trucks, the commercial arm of Chrysler, is trying to broaden the appeal of their pickup trucks by offering “cool” factory customization options that enables buyers to buy trucks already tuned. The latest additions to this custom range are the Ram 1500 Sublime Sport and the 1500 Rebel Blue Streak.
It’s funny they should call the Blue Streak a Rebel while it is the Ram 1500 Sublime Sport that is the real outlaw here. This special truck comes with green monochromatic exterior with body-color grille and boasts Sport performance hood with black wheels, black Ram’s head grille badge, black tailgate badge and black body-side badges. Whats more, two-wheel-drive models get for the first time 22 inch rims while AWD models have to do with 20s. Interior treatments for the Sublime Sport include Lime Green accent stitching throughout the cabin, accent-color Ram’s head embroidery on the headrests and sport mesh seat inserts.
As for the Ram Rebel Blue Streak, besides the eye-popping paint job the truck comes with Rebel Black appearance package, which includes a black-decaled performance hood, black wheels, black grille, black brush guard and black badging. Optional two-tone with Black lower paint also is available. Inside the cabin the main highlights include anodized bezels on the doors, center console, instrument panel and gauge cluster trim rings, and you can customize it further with all-black leather seats and embroidery, slate grey accents, and deep rubber floor mats are embossed with Ram’s head logo.
Ram 1500 Sublime Sport package is available on Crew Cab V-8 models with a starting MSRP of $45,740 plus $1,395 destination. Only 3,000 of this version will be produced. The Ram 1500 Rebel Blue streak is available in all Rebel configurations and options at no extra charge. The Ram Rebel starting MSRP is $45,095 plus $1,395 destination.
